Pastor L. Isaac Austin, Jr. & Lady Khyra J. Austin
Pastor Lee Isaac Austin, Jr., a native of Chicago, Illinois, is a faithful shepherd and servant-leader of Body of Christ Missionary Baptist Church. Since the church's organization in 1990, Isaac has remained actively engaged in ministry, demonstrating unwavering dedication to serving God and His people. Having accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and being baptized at an early age, a firm spiritual foundation was built that has guided his lifelong commitment to the Gospel of Christ.
Isaac's spiritual formation was developed and nurtured through Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church, and, ultimately, Body of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Ricky T. Guyton.
Isaac publicly acknowledged his call to ministry in 2004 and was licensed to preach. He was ordained in 2008 as a Minister of the Gospel and has since served diligently and with spiritual integrity. Pastor Austin is an expository preacher, whose attention to detail is seen through his teaching of biblical principle's found in God's word.
On June 26, 2022, Body of Christ Missionary Baptist Church affirmed God's divine decision by calling Minister L. Isaac Austin, Jr. to serve as its second Pastor. Pastor Austin is a committed servant leader, who leads by example and believes in modeling the expected Christian behavior daily to build consistent habits of righteousness and holiness for use in building the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Austin is joined in ministry by his wife, Lady Kyhra J. Austin. A prophetic servant of God, that has served for more than 25 years in ministry. Baptized at an early age, she developed a deep love for Christ and prayer that has shaped her life and calling. Throughout her years of faithful service, she actively served in the Prophetic Ministry, Altar Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry and as a teacher in Women's Ministry. She has a deep love for God's people and is committed to obedience to God's voice and his word.
Lady Kyhra stands beside her husband as a prayer warrior, encourager, and spiritual support. Her heart is to see lives transformed, chains broken, and believers equipped to walk boldly in their divine calling. Together, Pastor Isaac and Lady Kyhra are united in their commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God, serving the Body of Christ with humility, love, integrity, and unwavering faith.
